November Thanks 2

Sometimes I have a hard day. I feel selfish and pity for myself. And remembering to be grateful can really be humbling.

  1. I am very grateful for my Savior, and the loving peace He brings to me. I have been struggling these past couple days. Doubts, fears, stressing, confusion, anxiety, and anything else in the book. I have really felt the need for my Savior. For just a hug. For just a quiet whispering that He is there, listening and watching over me. Today, as I sat in sacrament meeting, I knew the only way to find comfort and make it through this week and next, is to turn to the Lord. I prayed today, and I read this talk during sacrament meeting and my heart was full. I am so grateful to be a member of this church.
  2. Today is Veteran's Day! I'm so grateful for those who have served, in any way, and those who are currently serving. I am grateful for those family members who are currently serving. I truly am grateful for their bravery and dedication to serve.
  3. I am very grateful for the ability to write. To use my hands, and my mind to write letters to my sweetheart. I sent my last letter yesterday, and it was so bittersweet. Letters are powerful, and so meaningful. Letters of all kinds are the best. I love getting mail :) (Unless it's a bill of course!) But I am truly grateful Brady and I were able to communicate through letters. I will cherish them for the rest of my life.
  4. I am very grateful for my dad. For all of his hard work. I don't say it as often as I should but I really am grateful for his dedication to my family. For always supporting us, and giving me such a wonderful life. I am grateful for the home, in which he works so hard to keep. I am grateful for the things in which I have been given, but I am especially grateful for his love for me. There are so many different routes he could have taken as a father, but the one he chose was love. I love my dad so much. He is one of my greatest best friends. I couldn't have asked for a better father. Thank you dad, you truly are appreciated.
  5. I am grateful for my nephews today :) For their sweet smiles, and their hugs, and even their cries. I love sharing my cereal and watching countless episodes of blues clues and dinosaur train. I'm grateful for Evan and for the patience he teaches me, for the love he gives endlessly and for the laughter he is ALWAYS sharing. I love Sawyer. For his sweet smile. It tears me up when I picture it. When he looks over, and you say his name, he focuses and the moment he realizes who you are, the most heart-melting smile grows on his cute face. These adorable boys mean the absolute world to me, and I'm so grateful they're in my life.
  6. I am grateful for my cute scooter boy :) He sure is getting old, and is constantly barking and we're always telling him to shut up. But I am so glad, that when nobody is home, he is always and I mean always excited to see me. He gives me countless "kisses" and snuggles with me when I don't even ask him to. The love from a dog is truly unconditional. I'm so grateful we have always had Scooter. He has helped me through a lot of depression I had in high school. I love him very much.
  7. I'm very grateful for all of my friends. Sometimes I get really down on myself because I feel I am not a good enough friend. I feel like I bail on so many people or I don't stay in touch enough with those who could really use a friend. I feel like I'm constantly forgetting people. But I'm not. You are all in my heart, and even if I can't be with you physically, you're in my prayers. I appreciate our friendship and all the memories we've ever shared. You mean a lot to me and I will never forget you.
  8. This one is silly, but I am grateful for Christmas time. It is seriously the most wonderful time of the year. I love the snow, I love the endless Christmas music on the radio, that I jam out to in my car. I love Christmas tree's and wreaths. I love reading gift ideas on pinterest. I love the Spirit of giving, and most importantly, the birth of our Savior. This Christmas is going to be really special for me, but having grown up in a house where Christmas music was played literally all year long, I'm grateful for such a happy season :) Happy Holidays and be safe everyone! :)
  9. Today I am grateful for Brady's family. They really are some of the sweetest people I've ever met. Their support has really helped me through these 2 years. They've always been so kind, and including me has got to be one of the greatest, and means a lot, especially since Brady isn't here. I love family. Family is a real big thing for me, and to be welcomed by them makes me feel like I have one big great family :) I thank them today and always for their love and kindness. It is never forgotten.
  10. I am grateful for my job. It is great for me, and I love it. I love meeting new people every day, including the not so nice members. I'm grateful for the knowledge I have received from working their, and the friends I have made. I'm grateful I have a job in these hard times, and I hope it continues to stay that way.
  11. I am grateful to be me. I am grateful to be who I am. I am grateful that even with my struggles, I can feel. Being me has been quite the journey but I am grateful that my father entrusted me with this body, this spirit and this life. To take care of it, and love it. It's not always rainbows and daisies, but even then, being me is wonderful. I love my life and I'm so grateful for it :)
