It's In the History Books...

I remember walking out into my family room and someone handed me the phone. It was my best friend calling to tell me that someone had just crashed a plane into a building in New York and that it was on the news. I told my family, and they proceeded to change the channel. After watching for a few minutes, it was time for school.

I was in the 4th grade and I remember walking into Mrs. Burton's class and they had the school turn on the TV and we watched the rest of it. I don't remember much after that, but I remember thinking how crazy it was that it was happening. That this, some day would make history books. That this would change America forever. That so many would lose their lives and I never imagined we'd finally catch the root of it all, Osama Bin Laden. I'm grateful for all those who sacrificed their lives for the safety of others. I cannot believe it's been 10 years..
