Think Not Of Thyself

Lately I've been really missing Brady. It was a lot longer this time than it was the last time I missed him. The last time it lasted a week, and I got a really bad headache, I felt sick and didn't want to do anything but cry. This time it last about a week and a half, got a headache, and just felt sick and didn't know what to do with myself! One night it was pretty bad, and I had tears in my eyes, and I just wanted to drive home and be with my mother. So I then decided to stop being ridiculous and start turning to the Lord. So I opened up my Preach My Gospel book and started reading. I started reading posts on Brady's mission blog and I came across this poem (that's on this picture/book mark) and I just decided maybe I could scrapbook that into a bookmark for all the women in my college ward, and such to prepare for General Conference and to have something to give with a Book of Mormon, if they ever give one away. I really felt great about this. So I contacted the Relief Society President and asked her which apartments had girls in them, and so she sent them to me. I then went to work the next day! I made this cute book mark (picture shown) and typed up the poem on the book mark, and printed out 90 copies (15 apartments, 6 girls each). I cut them out at work, put them in a bag with a sticky note that said: "May we be better member missionaries and bring forth the work of God. Have a wonderful General Conference weekend!" and then I stapled a rubber band to the baggie, and put it on their doorknob! :)
I did it secretly, and I feel great about it :) I kind of felt scared that I was going to get caught, but I'm really glad I didn't. I didn't say who it was from or anything! It felt really good to turn my mind, and focus to something other than why I was so sad, and how I couldn't get through the day/night. I'm really proud of myself. This is the first time I've ever done this on my own. Own idea, own way of doing it, and thought. I'm definitely doing this again! :)
