One of God's Beautiful Creations

Lately, I've been kind of wondering why I haven't been happy. Last week I blamed it on being away from home too long. I blamed it on not having a car and not having anyone close in Ephraim. It makes me sick to think how I can just make up excuses like that because I now know the thing that's missing that caused any happiness I ever used to have. And that's the Gospel. I've been forgetting to read everyday and say my prayers, I don't feel the Spirit as much and I haven't been to the Temple in months! It really gets me down :/ I remember watching the CES Fireside that was given and Elder Richard G. Scott spoke. It was AMAZING. He did such a wonderful job on Temple Marriage :) (It made me think of Brady, I love you!) Anyway, I just miss the Spirit. I miss the feeling of it and it causing my happiness and helping me change my attitude. College life has been hard lately, and after being here and hearing about the Relief Society Broadcast going so well, and General Conference is going to be amazing, I just need to pick myself up and start getting into my habit. It's hard to read and pray at night because some of my roommates stay up late and so when I try to wake up early, it just doesn't workout because I'm tired and want to sleep more, but just like exercising, I'm going to have to force myself.

So the purpose of this post is God's creations. Friday, I went to this cute little pond with my roommates Mars and Jessica. It was beautiful! Long walk in the hot sun, clear skies, just us girls! It was a really fun time and I enjoyed it! Then a little later that night we all went camping up at Jade's grandpa's property! It was so sweet of her family to let us go camping! We had fun! I rode with Mars and her car is just not like Jade's, so it couldn't fourwheel, but we were proud of how far it made it, it was hilarious! But we finally got to the camp site and then we started a fire, roasted hot dogs and talked and told stories and laughed and took some pictures and had ice cream, then we went to bed. But the one thing I loved most about camping this weekend, were the trees. They were BEAUTIFUL, and I'm not exaggerating. The colors were so pretty, pink, red, orange, yellow, green, brown, yellow-green. They were amazing. The stars, moon and trees looked breath taking at night time. I'm so lucky and grateful God created those things so I can enjoy the beauty of them. I may not like the cold weather but that's the beauty that comes with it and that's what I'll appreciate. We're so blessed on this earth!

And last but not least....
Mars was kind enough to let me catch a ride to go home for the day. I spent it with my babe and then my family :) Gosh I love this boy. He's so good lookin'. How'd I get so lucky?? :) :)

Just know forgetting gets to the best of us and doesn't mean you are a bad person. You are noticing that thats what you are missing in your life and know what you need to do to fix it, that's more than most can say. Keep it up!
