So these last two weeks have been pretty hard. I feel really bad about how I've acted but I'm so homesick. It's gotten better these last two days because I have such kind friends that are so willing to help me.
I miss my mother a lot. I'm sure you've read that in the last post, but I think calling her every day has been really good for me. My relationship with her is so strong! I miss my dog too. I miss kissing his cute face so much every day and driving him crazy. I miss his fuffy hair and just him. I miss him :(
I love college though. It's been hard and it's very different than high school and I wasn't as nearly as prepared as I needed to be. I'm going to steal the idea from my roommate, and tell you a little about each of my roommates. I haven't done this yet, but they deserve to know how thankful I am for them all :)
I'll start with Jessica. She is the one next to me, in white.
This girl is a sweetheart! I've loved getting to know her. She's really funny and is always willing to go walking on the tredmill for an hour with me :p She's always watching silly videos and has helped me fall in love with Baman & Piderman. Hahaha anyways, she's been through a lot, but I believe she's strong deep inside. I just know the Jessica deep down is in there and willing to be happy and live each day. She's a beautiful girl and I love her personality!
Next, Mariela. She's next to Jessica on the right. This girl is hilarious. She's always got everyone laughing and always got some joke or something to say. She's a smart girl and independent. I love that about her. She knows what is best for her, and she knows how to take care of herself. She's very caring, and if you need a friend, she is always there. She's beautiful! I'm jealous of her curly hair :)
Next, Katie. This girl is so outgoing. She's so pretty and so cute! She's always getting after us for not talking so much but I'm glad she isn't a quiet child. She's sooo into shopping and it rubs off onto me a lot! Hahaha Katie, maybe we should go to the mall sometime soon :) She really loves college and enjoys being here. She's very friendly and is always willing to talk to people. She's been such a shoulder to cry on to all our roommates here!
Next, Whitney. She's in purple. She is my room roommate. I love her to death! She's been my friend for a very long time and I appreciate her being there for me. She's so sweet and always laughing and being positive. She's always willing to be friends with whoever comes her way, and she's very caring and is always making sure that I'm okay. We're complete opposite but I think that's what keeps the both of us sane here at Snow. She's beautiful and I love how she doesn't care what she looks like, she'll fix her hair, get dressed and accepts that as good enough for herself.
Last, but not least, Jade. She's the last girl on the very right. This girl is so awesome :) She's very pretty and I wish I knew how to do hairstyles like she does! She's so very kind and a good person. I love how much she cares about her family, no matter what happens. She's so close with her little sister and I admire that because I'm establishing a relationship like that with my little sister as well. She is always willing to listen and give you advice if you need it!
I love all my roommates and I'm so grateful I get to spend Fall and Spring semester here at Snow with them. I'm going to miss Mars & Katie when they graduate but I know we'll make life long friendships. I am the type of person to wear their heart on their sleave, and I usually don't have a problem letting people know if I'm sad or happy, but lately I haven't been being open. I want my roommates to know that I love them, and that I'm okay, that I may be going through hard times with different things but because of their outgoing, happy, bubbly, loving, caring personalities it keeps me sane and sometimes when they don't know that I'm having a bad day, it helps me forget that I'm having a bad day. I appreciate all they do and respect them as beautiful Daughters of God that they are. That prolly sounds cheesy but they are. I love that they all still love to go to church, and read scriptures and attend Institute and such. I'm so lucky!
Anyway, another short story. I wrote Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and President Thomas S. Monson a letter a couple weeks ago. Elder Holland wrote me back and it was the coolest thing ever. I knew President Monson wouldn't be able to. Well, I went in for an interview with my bishop, and he told me that the Secretary to the First Presidency wrote him, in behalf of President Monson. I had mentioned my dear friend Andy and how he passed away and the topic of it and then I tied it into a positive testimony thing. He told my bishop to council with me and help me with my concerns of the topic and to read over this talk with me, and I just bawled. I think my bishop got teary-eyed himself. My bishop then pointed out to me that the letter was proof that President Monson cares about us all individually and he really does love us all and along his side, our dear Father in Heaven ♥ I think it's amazing and it's so true. The leaders of the church are in fact watching out for us!
Anyway, I'm going home this weekend, attending the Homecoming football game at my high school and then I'm spending all my time with Brady and my family as much as I can!! I've missed them terribly :( 8 weeks left of Fall semester! Yahooo :)
