Ice Skating

Oh cute post. But for my records. :)

Ice Skating is sort of a.... cute thing for Brady and I :) Remember this story? Yup. It involved ice skating. We were young, just graduated high school, and the feelings we once had for each other earlier that year, were finally coming forward again! :) The first time Brady and I held hands, we were ice skating, and tonight, we got to hold hands and ice skate again. It's been over 2 years since then, but it's still one of my very favorite memories of us.

Amanda has been dying to go ice skating and we didn't end up going last week so we finally made it this week! It was fun going with everyone :) My feet/legs hurt really bad. I'm never getting figure skates again!! Brady and Austin raced, I just skated, and eventually we'd all see each other but with going at different speeds, I hardly saw anyone but Brady. It was so fun though :) I'm really glad we went! We even got a yummy Jamba after!

I asked Brady about when he started to like me, cause I'm always curious, and cause I'm a girl and we like to know cute things like that. I told him that I thought he was cute at the beginning of senior year. Ya know, the cute part in our story where he'd wait for me every B day after 5th period so we could walk to our next classes together :) He said he thought the same which is why he asked me to homecoming. He said he thought I was pretty :) I asked him why he never acted upon it... like why didn't we start dating earlier? And he just said he wasn't the dating type and didn't really think about it. And of course, I started dating someone else at the time, and I even lost a very close friend of mine, so I went through some things.

I know we weren't supposed to date earlier than when we started, looking back I believe that. I then asked him if he did like me when I first held his hand, and he responded yes. Ah, he's just so cute :) I remember that day so clearly and he does as well. I love that even though he doesn't always talk about memories or his true feelings about certain days so many years ago, I know that it's all real for me. I see it in his eyes, and when I do get him to talk about his feelings, it's so real it melts my heart :)

I seriously have the best boyfriend ever. A lot of people have been asking about him and I, whether or not we're engaged yet, or getting married. I want to tell them yes, but it's not time. I enjoy dating Brady without worries or pressure to marry so soon. I have no judgements towards those who do get married sooner than the human race claims to be "normal." I just feel like we're meant to wait a little bit and I think Brady is okay with that :) We're both doing really well. I'm working, and just finished school. Brady is looking for a job, and figuring out school and applying to schools as well. I love where we're at.

Before Brady got back, I was ALL about weddings. We'd talk about it in letters but nothing ever serious. I never had a wedding planned while he was gone. I told him obviously nothing could happen until he was home but now that he's home, I'm happy just to be spending time with him. All the obsession with weddings is still there, just not in the front of my mind as much. Now, all I care about is snuggling, laughing, eating ice cream while watching fringe, and tickling Brady when he least expects it.

Everything is perfect right now. Brady is perfect. We are perfect together. I'm so happy :)

Great post! You two are so cute and smart...your relationship is between YOU guys, not all of us! There is NO rush, you guys are SO young, and it's important to not feel rushed into marriage.

Now, that said, Nate and I got married FAST. But it was right for us.

Love you!
