Gilbert

Oh Gilbert.
Where do I even start?

For those who don't know, Gilbert is my car. :) My friend Bryant named him for me when we were driving back to school after Christmas break and it has just stuck ever since. Gilbert was my first car ever. I got him from my Aunt, and now I'm giving him to my sister. So he'll still be in the family, but it's bittersweet. Lots of jamming out, lots of tears have been shed with Gilbert, lots of trips, lots of fixing, and just being together. He has gotten me to and from Snow College MANY weekends, many trips to the stores, to the temple, to work, to school. I know some people think it's silly to name your car, but I think it's freaken awesome. So many people know him and refer to him as "Gilbert." It's awesome :)

Anyway, I bought my sisters car, and she bought mine. Haha, sounds silly but it just worked out that way. I'm so excited for a new car, and I know my car will be in good hands with my sister :) We're going to finish buying the last things for my outfit that I'll be wearing in just a little under 3 weeks. (AAAAHHHH. Still so surreal) and I'm really excited! :)

I'm going to miss his loud noise. He purrs like a cat. Kind of annoying at times though. I'm going to miss the blinking air bag light, or the random "check engine, battery, brake" lights coming on. Don't worry, I've had them all checked out. I'm going to miss the one head light having to be pushed back in just to work. I'm going to miss singing out at the top of my lungs with the radio that's blown. I'm going to miss holding napkins to the top of the windshield as we go through the car washes, to protect the inside from getting wet. I'm going to miss not paying so much for gas. I'm going to miss him.

Thank you Gilbert. For taking me to places. For being that escape when I just needed to get out and cry or breathe... Thanks for all the fun jamming out adventures. Thanks for letting my friends be apart of our journey! :) It's been great, and I'll never forget my first car. Gilbert, love you mucho grande ;)
