They Know
I went to the Temple this afternoon, it was a beautiful day and the sun made the Temple shine so bright :) It wasn't as busy as the last Saturday I went, but there were still a few people. But I just wanted to share one thought about my experience. I've mentioned before how the confirmation part is my favorite. I feel the closest to Heaven at that moment, and I also feel the happiest; finally confirming members who have been waiting for that moment. The Temple worker who was saying the names had a hard time pronouncing one and the other worker looked at him and said, "When you say their name, and aren't sure how to pronounce it, you can just spell it out. Pronunciation doesn't matter, they know who it is." And that just got me thinking.. (as usual) Heaven really does know. The angels, Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and all those who have passed on, know who we are. They know everyone. That's why we are called "Brother" and "Sister." We are family. It came off as a little careless when he first said it but it really got me thinking about how great this work is and how lucky I am to be so close to so many Temples to help those be confirmed and baptized. Heavenly Father knows us, and those we're doing the work for. In fact, I'm always wondering if even though we have "Heavenly Names," we still go by our earthly names in Heaven? Not sure.. guess I'll find out when I get there years down the road... It makes me feel special knowing that someone in Heaven knows me, in fact, that everyone in Heaven knows me, and they know you too :) Isn't that comforting? I'm so grateful for this gospel! I've truly felt the Spirit as my constant companion this week.
