Reading 2012

"There is something wonderful about a book. We can pick it up. We can heft it. We can read it. We can set it down. We can think of what we have read. It does something for us. We can share great minds, great actions, and great undertakings in the pages of a book."
- President Gordon B. Hinckley :)

Lately, I've become obsessed with reading. It all started the Summer of 2010, when I was at the library everyday, writing down names of books to add to my "to-read" list! It was so fun! I stinkin' love the library!! I would just buy the books, but seeing as I'm a poor college student, I'll just have to wait on that. Anyway, I've just really wanted to jump into reading. I'm a pretty slow reader, and I hate it! I guess I just need to find books that I cannot put down! Cause I've come across a few of those... anyway, I want to expand my reading interest and read books that I never thought I'd pick up! My list on goodreads.com is pretty large (600+ books to read) and I need to get crackin'!

Last year, I made a goal of 10 books to read in 2011, and I ended up reading a total of 12 :) Woohoo :) Hahaha so this year, I'm determined to read more! I set a goal for 2012, as 20 books! I put a little widget on my sidebar, so my readers can know how I'm doing. I really want to make my list bigger, so if you have ANY books that I could possibly read, please feel free to let me know :)

I was recently invited to join my neighborhood's book club, which I'm totally excited for, but I'm not sure I can make it each time, since I have Institute on the nights they meet, but I'll do my best to stay involved! I am currently reading two books: Life's Lessons Learned by Dallin H. Oaks and Not My Type by Melanie Jacobson. Sometimes I really wish I could read at work, and at school but my priorities and mind have to be somewhere else in the meantime.... so, good luck to all the readers out there in this world :) I hope we can become reading buddies and maybe share some books, and insights.. Wish me luck on reading 20 books this year (with everything BIG happening) and I hope you all set a goal for yourself too :)

You can set your goal on goodreads, and it tracks it for you! :)
