Young Womens :)

So, it has been a VERY long time since I entered Young Women's. I was 12, so about 5 almost 6 years ago I was a Beehive. I don't remember much, I remember most of Miamaid time, and a lot of my Laurel time. I will be leaving Young Women's in just 3-4 weeks and I'm so sad :( I'm going to miss all my cute little girls that I see every week. I have the opportunity to go to girls camp one last time, and my birthday will be the last night up at camp. I'm so lucky to spend the big 18th birthday with girls who mean absolutely everything to me!

Two years ago, in May, I received this necklace. This is from a program called Person Progress. They introduce it to you when you are a beehive and they encourage you to do all the value experiences, and projects to receive this necklace. I didn't do much, but about 4-5 months before turning 16 I received my medallion :) It was the best thing in the whole wide world! I've cherished this necklace and everyone who knows me, KNOWS this necklace is my entire world!! I love it to death.

A couple years later, (now 2010) they have changed the program necklaces and have designed new ones and have even added a special charm called the Honor Bee :) It's so cute. It's an extra 40 hours of service and you have to read the Book of Mormon the whole way through, again (because that is the project for the value Virtue). Anyways, I've had the complete opportunity to do this all over again. In the back of the new booklet it says to those who have already received their medallion, may in fact do it a second time! I was so excited, so I jumped right to it and just couldn't wait :)

I chose the silver necklace & silver Honor Bee :)
Anyways, I've loved Young Women's. It has DEFINITELY shaped who I've become and I can't thank the leaders who have helped me along the way, enough. I've met so many amazing people and I've helped so many wonderful girls see the joy and rewards in doing this Personal Progress Program. I think it's one of the best things to happen to the Young Woman Program and I firmly believe this will help us draw closer to our Heavenly Father & Savior, personally.
